The book "Myths, legends, legends and fairy tales of Azerbaijan (Sheki and surrounding villages)" has been published

The book "Myths, legends, legends and fairy tales of Azerbaijan (Sheki and surrounding villages)" compiled by the leading scientific worker of the Literary and Cultural Environment and Folklore department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, PhD in Philology, docent Ulduz Murshudova has been published.

The scientific editor of the book is Professor Ramazan Gaffarli, the reviewers are Professor Maharram Gasimli, docent Matanat Abdullayeva.

The publication brings together myths, legends, legends and fairy tales collected from the elderly residents of Sheki and surrounding villages, including a total of 224 folklore examples.

The book reflects the worldview, lifestyle, national and spiritual values, rich oral folk literature traditions, language, intellectual memory, and social ethics of the people.

The main goal of the publication is to preserve the folklore examples of Sheki region to future generations, and at the same time to contribute to the study of the national folklore heritage.
