An event dedicated to the 785th anniversary of Yunis Emre was held in Sheki

Employees of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS participated in the presentation of the book and documentary film “The Good Make the World Beautiful” organized by Sheki City Centralized Library System.

Akif Mammadli, a senior researcher at the department of History and Epigraphy of Sheki RSC, PhD in history took part in the documentary and spoke in detail about Yunis Emre’s special place in Turkic-Islamic culture, the fact that human love, mercy, tolerance and spiritual purity constitute the main idea line in his creativity, the legends related to his graves in various geographies, and especially the information about the grave reported to be located in the Gakh region, and that such places are an indicator of the spread of Yunis Emre’s legacy in a wide geography and its survival in the people’s memory.

Speaking at the end of the presentation, the intellectuals of Shaki stated that Yunis Emre's simple and folk-like style has kept his works relevant for centuries, and that his ideas have not lost their relevance in terms of inter-community understanding and the protection of moral values. They also noted that such projects implemented to promote Yunis Emre's heritage have made a significant contribution to the formation of the young generation in a spirit of national and moral values, as well as to the delivery of universal humanist ideas to society.

It should be noted that the author of the book and the project author of the film are Jala Jafarova, the scriptwriter and director is Etibar Mammadov, and the cinematographer is Ramin Shahbazov.
