On November 4, 2024, organized by Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, the City Folklore House named after Vagif Ibrahim, named after I.S. Nakan Central Library of Sheki City CLS, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev’s "The invisible aspects of the cultural heritage of Shusha" arising from the Decree a round table was held on the declaration of the "Cultural capital of the Islamic world"of Shusha City for 2024.
Employees of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, Sheki City Cultural Center named after Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh, City Folklore House named after Vagif Ibrahim, Library named after Nakam, House Museum of Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh participated in the event.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the memory of the sons who died for the integrity of our Motherland was commemorated.
Reyhan Manafova, the head of the Public relations department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, who opened the event, drew attention to the special importance of Shusha in the history and culture of Azerbaijan. SHe emphasized that the main goal of the event is to introduce, promote and convey the history, culture, nature, national-spiritual values, literature, art of Shusha to future generations, and the floor was given to the leading researcher of the Literary-Cultural Environment, Folklore and Ethnography Department of Sheki RSC, PhD on philology, docent.
Kamil Adishirinov gave a report on "Literary environment of Karabakh: little publicized and distorted moments (in the example of life and creativity of Kh. Natevan, M.M. Navvab and Y.V. Chamenzaminli)". Docent brought to the attention of the listeners important facts from the lives of these personalities who had special services in the development of Shusha literary environment, unknown to the wider scientific community, such as the fact that Chamanzaminli was a fine artist, and even drew caricatures in various styles for "Molla Nasreddin" magazine. The speaker pointed out that there is a serious need for extensive research of the life and creativity of not only the artists mentioned, but also many artists in the Azerbaijani literature as a whole.
Then Aygul Khalilova, a junior researcher of the Department of History, Archeology and Epigraphy of Sheki RSC, in her speech entitled "Shusha - the miracle of nature and the unity of mysterious craftsmanship" presented the traditional crafts of Shusha with a fascinating nature - carving, metalwork, woodworking, pottery, painting, painting, silk making, weaving , hat making, shoemaking, tailoring, etc. and expressed his belief that Shusha will regain its historical appearance and become one of the craft centers.
Tural Adishirinov, researcher of the Literary-cultural environment, folklore and epigraphy department of Sheki RSC, in his speech entitled "Shusha as a temple of Azerbaijani music", 19th century Shusha musical assemblies, Shusha's composers, singers, mugham masters, representatives of vocal art, tar, kamancha, balaban performers provided full information about it, and noted that the declaration of Shusha as the cultural capital of the Islamic world is based on these historical roots.
The report "On the footsteps of Shusha folklore" was presented by Rovzat Zakaryayev, the head of the City Folklore House named after Vagif Ibrahim. The speaker talked about the folklore of Shusha, which is a part of Azerbaijani folklore - works of love, epics, tales, legends, legends.
Final discussions were held around the reports.
