On February 22, 2024, the students of the 39040609 group of the "Forestry and park management" faculty of Sheki State Regional College have a scientific and technological experience in the plant biodiversity and genefund department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center. According to the information we received from Ilgar Seyidzadeh, the chief agronomist of the Biodiversity and GeneFund Department, after the students were introduced to the GeneFund Garden and informed about the rules for organizing the nursery and agrotechnical works, they met the head of the Landscape Science Department, PhD on geo-min Huseyn Mustafabayli.

Huseyn Mustafabayli advised the students on plant biodiversity in the mountain-forest belt of Sheki-Zagatala region, necessary measures to protect and increase biodiversity, protection and restoration of forests in the stage of global warming. Extensive discussions were held on the topic.

Later, Yusif Rahimov, head of the Civil Defense Staff of Sheki RSC, held discussions with the students about such important topics as development of tourism potential in the North-West region, ecotourism, the main essence of ecotourism. He noted that the main goal of ecotourism is to ensure purposeful protection of nature, and the way to enjoy an ecologically clean environment, clean water, and clean air is through ecotourism that does not harm the environment, ensures the protection of natural resources and limits their retail use.
