On December 13, the next Scientific Council meeting of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS was held. Opening the meeting, the director of Sheki RSC Yusif Shukurlu, PhD in physics, docent, introduced the members of the Council with the issues on the agenda and wished success to the work of the Scientific Council. He spoke about the presentation of the report of Sheki RSC for 2023 to the Presidium of ANAS, approval and finding it satisfactory.

Later, Gunel Musayeva, chief specialist of the Scientific and Technical Information Department, informed about the conclusion of the International Scientific Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Haydar Aliyev and the 50th anniversary of Sheki RSC. He said that the conference successfully completed its work, news about the conference was published on television, websites and local press. Presently, the reports submitted to the conference are being prepared for publication. Conference package and certificates will be sent to the participants soon.

Deputy director of Sheki RSC for scientific affairs, PhD in biology Farhad Azizov gave instructions and advice to the heads of departments on the implementation of relevant works in the direction of the preparation of scientific research plans of 2024.

Head of human resources department Ulviyya Osmanova and chief accountant Ugur Suleymanov pointed out that the current structure of the Center was approved by ANAS Presidium.

As a current issue, discussions were held at Sheki RSC on the preparation of the books "Haydar Aliyev and Sheki", "The nature of the northwestern region of the Republic of Azerbaijan in ecogeographic studies", "Folklore examples of Oguz, Gabala" for publication.
