The director of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, PhD in physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu and Medina Sharifova's joint article entitled "Biotechnological method for the regulation of silkworm gender" was published in "Animal Biology" magazine.

The article examines the use of biotechnological approaches to effectively increase the productivity of the silkworm population. Also, a mathematical model was developed to demonstrate how the magnetic field affects the gender ratio of silkworm offspring, and the results obtained to control and predict the ratio of male and female silkworm offspring based on the strength of the magnetic field were presented.
