On November 20, 2023, the individual reports of the scientific staff of "Environmental Biophysics" and "Plant Biochemistry" departments of Sheki Regional Scientific Center for 2023 were listened. First, Jabbar Khalilov, a scientific worker of "Biochemistry of Plants" department, gave a report on the work "Study of the dynamics of accumulation of essential oil in the vegetative organs of the medicinal plant "Common Wormwood" and its physico-chemical properties. As a result, he said that the density of the essential oil obtained from the common wormwood plant is 0.910 m3 at 250C, the refraction is 1.467, the acidity number is mg KOH-0.5, and the solution with 70% ethyl alcohol is 1:4.

Malahat Abdurahmanova,  scientific worker of "Biochemistry of Plants" department, said in her report on the study of the dynamics of nitrogen accumulation in the vegetative organs of the "Common Wormwood" plant, which is widespread in Sheki region, that the nitrogen accumulated in the plant during the growing season is higher than during the budding and fruiting periods.

Then Ayshan Salmanova,  scientific worker of "Ecological Biophysics" department, gave a report on the work "Aspects of assessing the ecological stability and nutritional value of proteins obtained from the second type of meat products that appear during cattle slaughtering". She noted that on the basis of experiments, it was determined that the results of the samples treated with the C=1.18 mol/1DMSO product are superior in terms of both pH and C indicators. She added that compared to the control sample, the pH was 0.21 units, the total ion concentration was 2.82 mol/l less.

Vafa Atayeva, scientific secretary of the "Ecological Biophysics" department, gave a report on the work "Recovery of dye substances from autumn leaves belonging to the territory of Sheki region and dyeing and research of protein fibers" and presented the obtained results. He noted that the fixation of dyed skin and the intensity of color shades depend not only on the concentration of salt solutions, but also on the metal ions contained in the salts. FeSO4*7H2O was the most effective and efficient fixing salt, and resistance to light and abrasion was observed in skin fixed in 5% KA1(SO4)2*12H2O solution.

Khayal Valibayov, scientific worker of the "Ecological Biophysics" department, listened to the report on "Aspects of evaluating the ecological stability and nutritional value of proteins and oils obtained from silkworm pupae in the process of natural silk production". Based on the obtained results, it was determined that Na, K, Ca, Al, Mg, P, Si prevailed over other minerals in two samples, but the amount of mineral substances in the pupa was greater than that of the larva, and Co, Ge, Yb elements were not detected in any of the samples.

Employees of both departments noted that the obtained important scientific results were published in various local and international scientific journals.
