The book "Middle Ages History of Shaki" is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Haydar Aliyev, who played an undeniable role in the development of statehood and in taking a leading place in the world community after the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence.

"Medieval History of Sheki" reflecting the ancient statehood history of Sheki, written by Rahim Hasanov, head of the "History, Heritage and Ethnography" department of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, and Aydin Mammadov, an employee of Sheki Culture Center named after M.F. Akhundzade, compiled on the basis of archival materials and newspaper articles. His book was republished due to high demand. The book was created as a result of the scientific activity of Taghi Musavi, a historian and translator originally from South Azerbaijan who lived in the 20th century in 1960-1976. The information presented in the book is a sign of the existence of the statehood traditions of Shaki, which have been historically formed since ancient times.
