On November 7, 2023, an event was held at Sheki branch of ASPU with the organization of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS and Sheki branch of ASPU on the theme "Our historical victory is the celebration of Heydar Aliyev's policy".

Employees of Sheki Regional Scientific Center and teachers and students of Sheki branch of ASPU took part in the event.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

The director of Sheki branch of ASPU, d.m.s., docent Rafiq Rasulov greeted the participants of the event and congratulated them on the occasion of the Victory Day. He spoke about the Azerbaijani people who regained their state independence at the end of the last century, facing the most complex trials in history, the visionary policy of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, who lifted Azerbaijan from its knees and put it on the path of development, and the Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

Director of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, Ph.D., dosent Yusif Shukurlu spoke about the high management skills that Mr. President Ilham Aliyev demonstrated from the first days in his high state position, and how his domestic and foreign policy, based on national interests, gained great sympathy, unlimited trust and confidence among the people in a short period of time.

Senior researcher of the Department of History, Archeology and Epigraphy of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, PhD on pedagogy, prof. Firadun Ibrahimov gave a report on "The activity of President Ilham Aliyev is a glorious page in the history of Azerbaijan Statehood". He noted that as a continuation of the national leader Heydar Aliyev's visionary policy, his worthy successor, Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev started steps towards strategic goals, which resulted in the achievement of a great victory thanks to his visionary decisions, results-oriented policies, adequate to the current realities of the world and the challenges of the time. .

Then Yusif Rahimov, the head of the Ecological Geography Department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center emphasized that today's Victory Day makes him doubly proud. Yusif Rahimov added that all 3 of his children - Colonel Nemat Rahimov, serving in the Azerbaijan Armed Forces, military journalists Ruslan Rahimov and Rasul Rahimov participated in the Second Karabakh War. The speaker continued his speech based on photographs from the war zone.

Rasima Bekirova, head teacher of the Department of Humanities of Sheki branch of ADPU, in her report entitled "Construction in territories freed from occupation: realization of huge infrastructure projects", highlighted important facts such as the regular visits of the head of state Ilham Aliyev to the lands freed from occupation, the creation of high infrastructure in a short period of time, and the large return of the population.

Tural Adishirinov, junior researcher of the Literary-Cultural Environment, Folklore and Ethnography Department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, noted that the theme of Victory has been the main theme in the works of different poets and writers in the last three years in Azerbaijani literature. He emphasized that poems, poems, historical novels and even dramatic works were written in this regard.

The event continued with examples of poems sounded by students. Elvina Mammadli- a 4th-grade student of Shaki city secondary school No. 14 sounded Reyhan Manafova’s "My Army", Ugur Huseynov-  a 6th-grade student of Sheki Chemistry-Biology High School sounded Mehmet Akif Ersoy's "Independence March". Sevgi Vahabzadeh and Umid Orujov, students of the 6th grade of secondary school No. 7 of Shaki city performed the music "Karabakh is Azerbaijan".
