Ecological monitoring was held in “Danavech” and “Atuchan” plains of Sheki region

On Sempember 24 monitoring works were held for learning the level of soil erosion and plant cover, common ecological condition of environment in more than 6 ha of “Danavech” and “Atuchan” plains located in southern slope of Great Caucasian mountains,  Sheki , Bash Shabalid and Kish rivers by head scientific researcher of “Ecological Geography” department, PhD on geography Gafgaz Agabalayev. During the monitoring it was observed active erosion and degradation processes due to natural factors in these areas with an altitude of 2000 m, in addition, the growth of juniper bushes, "fern" and "hemlock" plants, which make the ecological environment healthy.
