At the ceremony the memory of our soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Great Patriotic War, waved the Azerbaijani flag in our liberated lands and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Speakers at the memorial ceremony spoke about the heroism shown by soldiers and officers of the glorious Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev during the 44-days war.

It was noted in the speeches that the love, perseverance, will of the Azerbaijani people, solidarity of the people and the army for the highest goal, the determination of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief were the main factors in the liberation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Our martyrs have the largest share in this victory. Their memory is an example for the younger generation.

Then the ceremony continued with a visit to the Alley of Martyrs in Sheki. During the visit, flowers were laid at the graves of martyrs, their memory was honored and prayers were said for their souls.

At the same time, the members of the collective held a tree-planting campaign in memory of the Martyrs in the gene fund garden of the Center.
