The investigation of historical heritage of the figures lived in this district is continued by the employees of “Historical heritage and ethnography” department of ANAS Sheki Regional Scientific Center

In the "Historical heritage and ethnography" department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS scientific-research works carry out in the direction of studying the life and work of prominent scientific, public and political figures, as well as historical figures created in the cities and villages of the north-western region of Azerbaijan and conference materials and articles are prepared on the basis of information obtained from historical and scientific sources and published in relevant collections and scientific journals.

In April 2020, manuscripts belonging to Haji Mustafa Efendi al- Malakhi, one of the representatives of Sufism and public figures of the second half of the XIX-early XX centuries, living and creating in the village of Malakh, Gakh region, were studied by H. Khalilov, an employee of the "Historical Heritage and Ethnography" department of the Sheki RSC, an article was prepared based on the obtained samples, a report entitled "Traces of Sufi life in literary samples" was presented on August 2, 2021 at the Republic conference "Priorities of science and education in modern Azerbaijan" organized online in Baku and the article was published.

Due to the need to restore and continue the research of numerous manuscripts belonging to the well-known and influential public figure of the region Haji Mustafa Efendi al-Malakhi (died in 1919 in Malakh village of Gakh region), Zaur Orujov, the head of the “Hygiene and Restoration of manuscripts” laboratory of the Institute of Manuscripts named after M.Fuzuli of ANAS, together with the staff of Sheki RSC was asked to be sent to the region to carry out research work and catalog the works by the leadership of Sheki RSC.

In August 2021, research work was continued in this direction, as a result of cooperation between Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS and the Institute of Manuscripts named after M.Fuzuli of ANAS, scientific researcher of the "Historical heritage and ethnography" department of the Center, PhD on philosophy A.Sultanov and Head of “Hygiene and restoration of manuscripts” department  of the Institute of Manuscripts Z.Orujov carried out researching, restorating and cataloging the works belonging to Haji Mustafa Efendi al-Malakhi in Ashagi Malakh village of Gakh region. The research will be completed soon.
