On the date of November 25, 2019 an essay competition named “What I know about Imadeddin Nasimi”was held among pupils of the VIII-XI classes of secondary schools together with Sheki Regional Scientific Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Sheki branch of ASPU and Young Scientists and Specialists Council of SRSC. The competition was organized for 650^th anniversary of outstanding Azerbaijan poet Imadeddin Nasimi. He purpose in holding the competition is the creature of Nasimi, our literature, national-moral values, increasing interest to science, developing outlook of youth.  

40 pupils from schools number 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 17 and 18, Ashagi Goynuk, II Bilejik, Bash Shabalid, Shorsu and Suchma took part in the competition. Mentioned that, the registration to the competition was realized by e-mail.   

First of all the meeting with participants, teachers and parents was held in the conference room of Sheki branch of ASPU. Head of “Humanitarian sciences” department of Sheki branch of ASPU, PhD on history V.Bakhishov informed about the purpose of the competition to the participants, and wished good luck.  After it, head of “Folklore and crafts” department of ANAS Sheki Regional Scientific Center P.Zakirova informed the participants about the demands of writing competition, time, procedure rules of awarding the writings and so on. and answered their questions. At the end the chairman of Young Scientists and Specialists Council of SRSC of ANAS R.Hasanov wished luck to the participants. 

Then, the pupils wrote their essays during 80 minutes. The essays will be evaluated by jury members organized by the teachers of ANAS SRSC and Sheki branch of ASPU who have sufficient experience in this field within 5 days after the date of the writing contest. After choosing the writings which are original and compiled by properly following the written rules will awarded 1st place (1 person), 2nd place (2 people), 3rd place (2 people) and encouragement (3 people).
