Sheki Regional Scientific Center was represented at the V International Children and Youth Literature Symposium in Istanbul

The V International Children's and Youth Literature Symposium, organized by the Association of Children's and Youth Literature Writers, Istanbul Ibn Khaldun University and the Press Release Association, was held on October 19-20 at the Istanbul Ali Amir Efendi Cultural Center.

Minor scientific worker of the Sheki Regional Science Center of ANAS, doctoral student of the Department of Ancient Turkish Literature of Istanbul University Reyhan Selimova made a speech at the conference entitled "Unique Poet of Children's Literature - Sezai Karakoch".

Reyhan Selimova, taking into consideration guests from many foreign countries, gave information about Sezai Karakoch's life and creativity and later analyzed Sezai Karakoch's poetry about children's life and mind. Researcher describes Sezai Karakoch as "living Fuzuli of the Turkic world", as he is really successful at portraying the playful world of children and portraying their wishes and emotions even in his other poems which are not on the theme of children, perhaps more than any other poet.

A scholar, researcher, poet, writer, journalist and artist from Germany, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Macedonia, Tatarstan, Crimea and Ukraine took part for 2 days in the symposium held on the theme of "Living Writers of Children's Literatur”.

In the 16th session of the V International Children and Youth Literature Symposium, 65 speeches from 88 participants were heard.

On October 21st, the symposium attendees participated in the famous Bosphorus tour of Istanbul visited the Miniaturk Museum with hundreds of historical expositions.
