At the beginning of the event, the newly renovated building of the Civil Defense Institute of ANAS was newly renovated and its room was opened for using. At the opening, a red ribbon was cut by the Director of SRI, PhD, Associate Professor Y. Shukurlu and Deputy Chairman of the Shaki City Council Valeh Alekberov.

Later on, the head of the Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology of ANAS, Ph.D. Bakirov made a presentation on the history and purpose of the Civil Defense Day of the International Civil Defense Organization, the concept of emergency, civil defense, technogenic accidents, personal protective equipment and ways for protection from fire, fire hazard, explosion, and poisoning.

            Different types of firefighting equipment and personal protective equipment were demonstrated at the event.
