Speaking about the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the Shaki Regional Science Center (SHRSC.) in 2017, the director of the company, PhD in physics and mathematics Yusif Shukurlu said that the center's activities are based on fundamental and applied research priorities. The speaker underlined that according to the plan of actions of ANAS in the implementation of "Strategic Road Maps on Major Sectors of the Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan", the Center continues the research on "Patenting and application of technology of natural color silk technology".

Yusuf Shukurlu, who gave information about the important results, said that 8 scientific research works were carried out in eight chapters in the reporting year: "45 reports, 23 articles and 4 books were published in the reporting year, and scientists have been published in foreign journals as well as magazines with strong impacts and his works were published in magazines."

It was noted that in 2017, SHRSC together with ANAS, the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the BACSA (Black Sea, Caspian Sea and Central Asian Silk Association) and several local and foreign organizations will conduct an international conference on the development of silk culture in Azerbaijan, and other events. In the reporting year, the State Committee for Registration of Plant Varieties and Seed Control under the Ministry of Agriculture has been submitted to test different kinds of plant species.

Speaking about the participation of  SHRSC  staff at conferences held abroad, Y. Shukurlu said that they participated in 16 conferences, mainly Turkey, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Bulgaria. Reporter, who said that chemical and biochemical composition of vegetative organs of wild herbs (Physalis L.) and Pyracantha fruit (Sorbus L) spread in mountainous and foothill areas of Shaki region for the first time, revealed 23 species of wild herbs in the northwestern region of Azerbaijan, Gakh and Zagatala biomorphological indicators were determined, and the range of propagation was determined. The report also provides detailed information on the research works carried out by the departments.

The report was approved at the meeting and the important
